Sous les couches de fibro-ciment,  il y avait la façade intacte du 19ème siècle. Le couple venait juste d’avoir un enfant, et leur appartement  en ville commençait à devenir petit. L’intérieur était laid. Moquettes, papiers peints ternes et un choix de couleurs criardes donnaient des nausées. Tout les éléments d’origine avaient disparus. Mais toutes les fenêtres, la lumière à l’intérieur et le jardin  avec tous les pommiers noueux…

Beauty refound
Beneath the layers of fiber cement, there was the intact 19th century facade.The couple had just had a child, and their city apartment  was becoming smaller. The interior was ugly. Carpets, drab wallpaper  and a choice of bright colors gave nausea. All the original features had disappeared. But there was all the windows, the light inside and the garden with allgnarled apple trees ..
