Un canut est le nom donné à l'ouvrier qui tissait la soie à Lyon. Ce terme est aussi utilisé pour désigner les anciens espaces industriels où les machines à tisser étaient installées. L'industrie de la soie n'est plus aussi présente dans cette grande ville, et d'anciens bâtiments comme celui ci présenté par Espaces Atypiques, se sont transformés en de magnifiques appartements.
