Grand prix
Grand Prix Si on connaît bien les chaises des frères Eames que l'on voit à longueur de photo, et le modèle Fourmi d'Arne Jacobsen, on voit moins la chaise Grand Prix, qui présente l'avantage d'être en bois, plus originale et moins convenue que les deux premières (surtout que les Eames, qui avouons le est hyper confortable). La chaise Grand Prix a été présentée pour la première fois par Fritz Hansen son éditeur historique, au salon de printemps du Danish Museum of Decorative Art, en 1957. Un peu plus tard dans l'année, elle fut présentée à la Triennale de Milan où elle reçut le Grand Prix, la plus importante distinction, qui lui donne son nom. C'est ce modèle que voici dans cet appartement et elle apporte le côté chaleureux du bois parfait pour réchauffe la cuisine blanche. On peut supposer qu'il s'agit ici de modèles d'origine vintage, les pieds en bois n'étant plus produits depuis longtemps et ayant été remplacés par des pieds métal.
Grand Prix
If we know the Eames chairs that we see on a lot of pictures, , and the Arne Jacobsen Ant chair model, we see less the Grand Prix, which has the advantage of being made of wood, more original and less commonplace that the first two ones (especially the Eames, which let's face are super comfortable). The Grand Prix chair was presented for the first time by Fritz Hansen's historical publisher in the spring Fair of Danish Museum of Decorative Art in 1957. Later in the year, it was presented at the Milan Triennale where it received the Grand Prix, the most important distinction that gives it its name. It's this model that we find here in this apartment and it brings the perfect warmth of wood for warming this white kitchen. We can think that these are original vintage models, wooden feet are no longer produced for a long time and have been replaced by metal feet.
