An architect house in Norway

The proximity of the sea and the harsh climate of Sjernarøyene were the basis of the design of this house. The architect has designed it to be inhabited throughout the year. He worked on the idea that architecture should help to improve the usefulness of outdoor spaces. Along the façade overlooking the bay, it has created a covered terrace which gives the impression to multiply the interior space. Huge windows allow light to flow back and a breathtaking view of the landscape,  and the natural materials bring warmth to this space open to nature.
