La rénovation de cette grange dans le Norfolk, et de la porcherie adjacente est venue de la volonté de la  paysagiste Emily Erlam de retourner dans la région de son enfance. Elle a travaillé avec  Niall Maxwell, du Rural Office for Architecture, pour en développer le design. Son travail sur les extérieurs a été bien entendu prépondérant, et elle a essayé depuis chaque fenêtre de la maison, d’obtenir le paysage bucolique idéal, hommage à cette région anglaise.

This barn conversion in Norfolk, and of the adjacent pigsty, came from the desire of landscape gardener Emily Erlam to return to her childhood region. She worked with Niall Maxwell of the Rural Office for Architecture to develop the design. Her work on the outdoors was of course predominant, and she tried from every window of the house to obtain the ideal bucolic landscape, a tribute to this English region.
