Choisir de construire une maison container quand on est une primo accédante (c’est à dire une personne qui achète son premier bien immobilier), est un choix rare. C’est pourtant celui fait par une jeune femme américaine, Julianna Carlson, qui a acheté 6 containers maritimes de 20 pieds pour les transformer en sa première maison d’une surface approximative de 100m². Elle a souhaité garder leur extérieur telle que, pour ne pas effacer la mémoire de leur vie d’avant en s’occupant de rendre l’intérieur confortable et en s’inspirant des bateaux, puisqu’elle et sa famille ont depuis longtemps l’habitude d’y passer du temps. This 100m2 container house is that of a first-time buyer.
Choosing to build a container house when you are a first-time buyer (i.e. a person buying their first property), is a rare choice. It is however the one made by a young American woman, Julianna Carlson, who bought 6 20-foot sea containers to transform them into her first house of approximately 100m². She wished to keep their exterior as it was, so as not to erase the memory of their former lives by making the interior comfortable and taking inspiration from the boats, since she and her family have long been used to spending time on them.
