La rénovation d'une maison à Ibiza à la décoration naturelle et vintage

Si cette maison à Ibiza datant des années 1980 n’était pas celle dont rêvait sa propriétaire britannique, Sarah Crooke, directrice générale d’une marque de mode, elle a su en faire sa villégiature de rêve après une profonde rénovation. Séduite par la vue à l’arrière, la grande luminosité de l’endroit et son potentiel, elle a vue là l’occasion unique de réaliser son projet de maison de vacances sur l’île. La pierre, les murs peints à la chaux, l’artisanat de la région se sont ajoutés au bois, au béton, aux tissus africains, aux tapis marocains et au design vintage des pièces de(Wegner, Jacobsen, et Mouille, pour en faire un lieu unique, très personnel, qui totalement changé d’esprit. Les nombreux éléments maçonnés comme les cheminées et le lit sont des tributs à la période de construction de la maison, et sont parfaitement à leur place ici. Photo : Montse Garriga

The renovation of a house in Ibiza with a natural and vintage decoration
Although this 1980s house in Ibiza was not the one that British owner Sarah Crooke, managing director of a fashion brand, dreamed of, she turned it into her dream holiday after a thorough renovation. Seduced by the view at the back, the great luminosity of the place and its potential, she saw a unique opportunity to realise her project of a holiday home on the island. Stone, whitewashed walls and local craftsmanship were combined with wood, concrete, African fabrics, Moroccan carpets and vintage design pieces by Wegner, Jacobsen and Mouille to make a unique, very personal place that totally changed its spirit. The many masonry elements such as the fireplaces and the bed are tributes to the period of construction of the house, and are perfectly at home here.Photo: Montse Garriga
