Cette petite maison avec piscine et sa terrasse avec une pergola en métal, nécessitait une rénovation en profondeur afin de devenir conforme aux exigences de notre époque. Ancienne maison de gardien dans un grand domaine, elle a été rénovée par la designer d’intérieur Marta Miquel, avec l’aide de son frère architecte Javier Miquel. A l’origine, si le premier étage était déjà un logement, le rez-de-chaussée était utilisé comme garage et pièce de stockage.
Il accueille désormais un grand espace ouvert, où l’on trouve le salon, la salle à manger, la cuisine ainsi qu’une zone dédiée au bureau. La décoration naturelle est basée sur l’utilisation du bois, de couleurs neutres, et de quelques touches de vert. Mais si l’intérieur de cette maison est charmant, ce que l’on préfère par-dessus tout, c’est sa terrasse avec une pergola en métal ombrée par les plantes, son jardin avec sa terrasse maçonnée en angle, et sa piscine, des atouts sans aucun doute pour une maison du sud.
Renovation of a small house with a swimming pool in Spain
This small house with a swimming pool and a terrace with a metal pergola needed a thorough renovation to bring it into line with the demands of our time. Previously caretaker’s house on a large estate, it was renovated by interior designer Marta Miquel, with the help of her architect brother Javier Miquel. Originally, the first floor was already a home, but the ground floor was used as a garage and storage room.
It now houses a large open space, with a living room, dining room, kitchen and office area. The natural decoration is based on the use of wood, neutral colours, and some touches of green. But if the interior of this house is charming, what we like most of all is its terrace with a metal pergola shaded by plants, its garden with its masonry terrace in angle, and its swimming pool, assets without any doubt for a southern house.
