Photo : Miriam Yeleq
This beautiful house surrounded by vegetation has been totally renovated with a contemporary Mediterranean decoration, in the region of Alicante, in the south of Spain. Dating from the 1950s, it had real potential and an enviable location on the sandy beach of El Portet. Zdenka Lara, the owner of this house, entrusted the professionals of the studio H UP Interiorismo+Diseño, the company of which she is the CEO (because you are never better served than by yourself), and the construction company Catala Puig, from Teulada, with the renovation work.
The owner spends mostly holidays and weekends with her family and wanted a simple, cheerful, easy-going style. The colourful Mediterranean decoration is not only appropriate to the location, but also to the family's taste. The large openings created make it possible to enjoy the environment, even when inside the house. And what about the terraces and the masonry swimming pool, which offers its coolness when you want to get away from the world on the beach? Isn't this a dream place to spend your holidays, and why not, your whole life? Photo: Miriam Yeleq
