Une décoration ferme moderne dans une maison transformée en Alabama

Un couple de l’Alabama a transformé une banale maison de banlieue en une maison à la décoration ferme moderne contemporaine, après avoir cherché pendant des mois la maison de leur rêve sans l’avoir trouvée. Si la maison qu’ils ont acheté manquait de charme, elle était construite dans un grand terrain dont ils sont tombés amoureux au premier regard, et possédait un réel potentiel de transformation. Paige, la propriétaire qui est décoratrice d’intérieur et propriétaire de la boutique The French Basket, n’était pas effrayée par la tâche à accomplir.

Après huit mois de rénovation, à la fois sur l’extérieur et sur l’intérieur, elle a réussi à transformé cette construction neuve sans âme en la maison qu’elle et son mari recherchaient depuis longtemps. La décoration rustique chic est typiquement nord-américaine, mais n’en fait pas trop dans le cliché, utilisant le blanc agrémenté de bois clair comme base. La terrasse couverte est sans doute l’endroit qui attire notre attention, et à elle seule, elle est le symbole de la transformation de cette maison classique, en une jolie maison à la décoration ferme moderne. Modern farmhouse decor in a remodeled house in Alabama

An Alabama couple transformed an ordinary suburban home into a modern farmhouse after months of searching for their dream home and not finding it. While the house they bought lacked charm, it was built on a large lot that they fell in love with at first sight, and had real potential for transformation. Paige, the owner who is an interior designer and proprietor of The French Basket, was not afraid of the task at hand.

After eight months of renovation, both on the exterior and interior, she was able to transform this soulless new building into the home she and her husband had been looking for. The rustic-chic decor is typically North American, but doesn’t go overboard with cliché, using white with light wood as a base. The covered terrace is perhaps the place that catches our eye, and it alone is a symbol of the transformation of this classic house into a lovely, modern farmhouse. Photo: Brian Woodcock
