Merci's new flat in Paris with a view of the Seine

Is there a typical Parisian style in terms of interior design? There is fantasy and reality, but if the Parisian style is the one imagined in the new Merci flat, the Parisian concept store, then we quickly succumb. Of course, few of us will ever have the opportunity to live in such a place, characterised by the bourgeois-boho spirit, all year round. A subtle mix of relaxation, culture and luxury... To create this original and habitable place (which is not always the case...), Merci entrusted the 120m2 of this flat on the Quai de Tournelle to the architect Jules Mesny Deschamps.

So what can we say? Apart from the old volumes typical of this 18th century building, the view over the Seine should already convince us to live there. The old furniture, those that could have been found in antiques shops or at flea markets, are harmoniously mixed, the colours dare bold, yet balanced, combinations in this "Second Residence", very successful, original without overdoing it, welcoming, containing rare pieces mixed with more affordable ones, no doubt financially. The new Merci flat is to be discovered more in advance on the Merci website by clicking on the link. Photo : Jérôme Galland
