Photo : Michael Perini

Flat in Hong Kong furnished in a Japanese design style

Designed by Littlemore Interior Design, this 65m2 Hong Kong flat is designed like a Japanese ryokan, but in a designer version. Each space is well defined, but connected to the others in neutral colours. Japanese minimalism prevails, even though we are in China, with the use of wood in all the rooms, and typical details such as the entrance where you remove your shoes before entering the living room.

Although this Hong Kong flat is more for a couple, it has an equipped children's area, which can be isolated by a light sliding wall made of rice paper and wood with a traditional look. A play area during the day, it can be transformed into a bedroom at night with the installation of futons. A platform in the living room can be used as an office if desired, or as a place to sit on the floor for the tea ceremony. Photo: Michael Perini
