Une maison zen entourée de verdure sur les collines de Los Angeles
Lorsque la propriétaire de cette maison l'a achetée en 2018, elle a demandé à son amie et designer, Jennifer Castle, de l'aider à la transformer en une maison zen pour elle et ses deux filles adolescentes. La designer a teint les sols centenaires d'origine en noir, a peint les murs en blanc et s'est efforcé de faire entrer le plus de lumière naturelle possible. Elle s'est attachée à en faire un lieu où tout le monde se sentirait accueillit comme par une amie, même si elle est louée régulièrement par l'entremise d'Airbnb, elle ne devait être en aucun cas impersonnelle.
La cuisine blanche de type shaker a été installée pour pouvoir cuisiner confortablement de délicieux repas. La maison étant située sur les collines de Los Angeles, le principal défi a été de faire livrer les différents objets et le mobilier en montant les nombreux escaliers qui y mènent. Mais le résultat en vaut la peine, l'environnement verdoyant de cette maison zen est un parfait complément à l'atmosphère relaxante qu'on y trouve, que l'on soit à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur. When the owner of this house bought it in 2018, she asked her friend and designer, Jennifer Castle, to help her transform it into a Zen home for her and her two teenage daughters. The designer stained the original 100-year-old floors black, painted the walls white and worked to bring in as much natural light as possible. She focused on making it a place where everyone would feel welcomed as if by a friend, even though it is regularly rented out through Airbnb, it was not to be impersonal in any way.
The white shaker kitchen was installed so that delicious meals could be cooked in comfort. As the house is located in the hills of Los Angeles, the main challenge was to get the various items and furniture delivered up the many stairs leading to it. But the result is worth it, the green environment of this Zen home is a perfect complement to the relaxing atmosphere inside and outside. Photo: Public 311 Design
