The artist Francesca Anfossi, a renowned ceramist, has decorated her flat, an atypical duplex with a garden in London located in a former shop in the Camden district, using colour. The mix with the old materials and elements is original and successful. For the rearrangement of the spaces, she worked in collaboration with Knott Architects who carried out the architectural project. This atypical duplex with a garden also has a winter garden which she uses as a workshop for her creations.
While the exterior of the building has retained its traditional appearance, the interior features contemporary open spaces, largely illuminated by frosted glass windows overlooking the street in the living area. Rough plaster walls and solid oak planks are combined a white steel pillar, and a brick chimney, as well as old-style tiling installed during the renovation.. An extension onto the garden has created a large dining kitchen, lit by a skylight. The conservatory with its typical lines is adjacent to this convivial room. The doors of this veranda open onto the garden and its terrace, nestled against a wall covered with climbing ivy. Isn't this a charming and original place?
