C'est en pleine campagne néerlandaise que cette ferme du 19e siècle, bâtie à l'origine en 1886 a été entièrement reconstruite par l'architecte Theo Reitsema qui a conservé ses éléments anciens, dont de magnifiques poutres, en mariant ceux-ci avec un style contemporain et épuré. Si de l'extérieur la façade en briques est rustique et authentique, parfaitement intégrée au style de la région où elle se trouve, à l'intérieur on découvre des espaces ouverts éclairés par des fenêtres de toit percées dans le toit de chaume, dont l'aménagement moderne est conforme à notre 21e siècle.
Quoique complètement moderne, la décoration actuelle tire profit de son mélange avec l'âme rustique de la maison, caractérisée par la structure des poutres. La mezzanine en verre qui domine les pièces de vie est un autre des éléments intéressants de cette ferme du 19e siècle reconstruite en respectant son allure ancienne. Il se dégage de cette maison un charme unique, que ce soit dans son jardin qui forme un bel écrin pour la bâtisse en briques, ou à l'intérieur, ou notre époque rencontre les siècles passés avec une totale réussite.
This 19th century farmhouse, which was originally constructed in 1886, has been completely rebuilt by architect Theo Reitsema in the Dutch countryside. He has preserved the old elements, including the magnificent beams, and combined them with a contemporary and refined style. While the exterior of the brick façade is rustic and authentic, perfectly integrated with the style of the region in which it is located, the interior features open spaces illuminated by skylights in the thatched roof, with a modern layout in keeping with the 21st century.
Although completely modern, the current decoration benefits from being mixed with the rustic soul of the house, characterised by the structure of the beams. The glass mezzanine that dominates the living areas is another interesting feature of this 19th century farmhouse that has been rebuilt with respect to its old look. The house has a unique charm, both in the garden, which forms a beautiful setting for the brick building, and in the interior, where our time meets the past centuries with complete success.
