C’est une maison en bois aux lignes simples, d’une surface plutôt modeste que nous découvrons maintenant (ce qui devrait prouver à plus d’une personne que toutes les maisons d’architectes ne sont pas forcément des demeures imposantes). La construction du bâtiment a été conçue pour avoir le moins d’impact possible sur son environnement. La maison s’est adapté à l’existant avec intelligence. Ici, l’harmonie entre la construction et le paysage est totale. La couleur de la façade se fond dans les arbres, et contribue à cette impression d’équilibre entre la nature et l’architecture.

Située sur Stora Timrarö, la plus grande île de Furusundsleden dans l’archipel de Stockholm, elle s’est posée sur un terrain vallonné et boisé , avec des rochers et la mer très proche. Elle offre un plan aéré avec la partie commune au premier niveau et deux chambres seulement, et son luxe suprême est sans aucun doute ses vues et le calme de la forêt qui la cerne. La cuisine de la marque Danish Reform,  occupe une place centrale dans la maison avec son grand îlot et ses étagères.  Tout semble réunit dans cette maison en bois aux lignes simples pour une vie sereine, où les ouvertures sur le paysage sont un enchantement quotidien.

This wooden house with simple lines blends in with nature

It is a simple wooden house with a rather modest surface that we are now discovering (which should prove to more than one person that not all architects’ houses are imposing residences). The construction of the building has been designed to have as little impact as possible on its surroundings. The house has been adapted to the existing environment with intelligence. Here, the harmony between the building and the landscape is total. The colour of the facade blends in with the trees, and contributes to this impression of balance between nature and architecture.

Located on Stora Timrarö, the largest island of Furusundsleden in the Stockholm archipelago, it is set on a hilly and wooded terrain, with rocks and the sea very close by. It offers an airy layout with the common area on the first level and only two bedrooms, and its ultimate luxury is undoubtedly its views and the calm of the surrounding forest. The Danish Reform kitchen, with its large island and shelves, takes centre stage in the house. Everything seems to come together in this wooden house with simple lines for a serene life, where the openings on the landscape are a daily delight.
