L’architecte Valery Augustin et sa femme Kim ont décidé de transformer l’ancien garage de leur maison de Los Angeles, en une mini maison loft de 38m2 pour accueillir leurs amis et les visiteurs. Leur maison principale a été construite en 1940 et nécessitait une grosse rénovation, et après l’avoir effectuée, ils ont réalisé ce chantier, facilité par le fait que Valery soit à la tête du studio d’architecture DNA Architecture + Design. C’est une belle transformation qui fait passer cet ancien garage à un ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit), parfaitement aménagé, une construction très populaire outre-atlantique.

La construction de cette mini maison loft de 38m2 et sa location saisonnière permet au couple de faire face plus facilement à ses remboursements de crédit pour l’achat de son logement principal. C’est donc un excellent investissement. A l’intérieur de cette mini maison, on trouve des espaces totalement ouverts à la façon d’un loft, et un aménagement simple et confortable. L’ ancien garage a été entièrement désossé afin de devenir un volume à réinterpréter complètement. Architect Valery Augustin and his wife Kim decided to transform the former garage of their Los Angeles home into a 38m2 mini loft house to accommodate friends and visitors. Their main house was built in 1940 and needed a major renovation, and after doing so, they went ahead with this project, facilitated by the fact that Valery is the head of the architecture studio DNA Architecture + Design. It’s a beautiful transformation that turns this former garage into a perfectly appointed ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit), a very popular construction across the Atlantic.

The construction of this mini loft house of 38m2 and its seasonal rental allows the couple to face more easily their credit repayments for the purchase of their main home. It is therefore an excellent investment. The interior of this mini house has a loft-like open plan layout and a simple, comfortable layout. The old garage has been completely stripped down to become a volume to be completely reinterpreted.
