C’est le studio d’architecture Kilo/Honč qui a réalisé ce loft familial ancien en Slovaquie, pour un jeune couple avec enfant. Les verrières et les pavés de verre jouent un rôle essentiel dans la distribution de cet appartement situé dans un immeuble ancien construit en 1927 dans le centre ville. Le projet des architectes est axé sur l’espace et la lumière, ainsi que sur un design simple qui laisse la circulation fluide, tout en conservant certains éléments d’origine comme le sol.

Les couloirs sont inexistants dans ce loft familial ancien, on entre directement dans le vif du sujet, une fois la porte d’entrée passée. Le regard n’est arrêté que rarement par une cloison et peut presque aller jusqu’au fond de tous les volumes, y compris dans les chambres et la salle de bain, où les verrières assurent une sensation d’espace accrue, tout en pouvant être intimisées par des rideaux. Old family loft restructured with partition walls in Slovakia

The architecture studio Kilo/Honč designed this old family loft in Slovakia for a young couple with children. The partition and glass paving stones play an essential role in the distribution of this flat located in an old building dating from 1927 in the city centre. The architects’ project focuses on space and light, as well as on a simple design that allows the circulation to flow, while retaining some original elements such as the floor.

There are no corridors in this old family loft, and you enter directly into the heart of the matter, once you pass the front door. The eye is rarely stopped by a partition and can almost reach the bottom of all the volumes, including the bedrooms and bathroom, where the partitions ensure a greater feeling of space, while being able to be made more intimate by curtains.
