Une mini maison de 18m2 en autoconstruction autosuffisante au Portugal

Eugenia Diaz et Pepe Romer ont vécu longtemps dans un van, mais désiraient changer de mode de vie, tout en restant dans la décroissance et la simplicité. C’est pourquoi ils ont décidé de réaliser cette mini maison de 18m2 en autoconstruction au Portugal, pour un prix de revient d’environ 10.000 € en 2020. Elle est autosuffisante en énergie grâce à un système de panneaux solaires.

Avec l’aide de leurs voisins, ils ont réussi à la construire dans un délai d’environ de 4 mois, sur un terrain dans la région d’Alentejo qu’ils avaient trouvé. Ils ont ajouté à côté un atelier d’une quinzaine de mètres carrés, pour continuer leur activité professionnelle car ils fabriquent des articles en cuir vendus dans le monde entier. Ils y réalisent tous leurs projets créatifs, y compris de la céramique. Ensuite, ils prévoient de construire un poulailler et une autre habitation sur le terrain, et d’agrandir leur jardin potager pour devenir auto suffisant également en alimentation. Cette mini maison de 18m2 en autoconstruction représente un véritable projet de vie pour le couple qui a trouvé là, son mode de fonctionnement idéal.

Eugenia Diaz and Pepe Romer have lived in a van for a long time, but wanted to change their way of life, while remaining in a downsized and simple way. This is why they decided to build this 18m2 self-constructed mini house in Portugal, at a cost of around €10,000 in 2020. It is self-sufficient in energy thanks to a system of solar panels.

With the help of their neighbours, they managed to construct it in about 4 months, on a plot of land in the Alentejo region that they had found. Next to it they added a workshop of about 15 square metres, to continue their professional activity as they make leather goods sold all over the world. They do all their creative projects there, including ceramics. Next, they plan to construct a chicken coop and another house on the land, and to expand their vegetable garden to become self-sufficient in food as well. This self-built 18m2 mini house represents a real life project for the couple, who have found their ideal way of working here.
