Joanna Gaines, la célèbre designer à la tête de Magnolia avec son mari Chip, a effectué une mini rénovation à coût maitrisé dans cette maison pour un jeune couple. Le budget étant limité, il était donc nécessaire de trouver des solutions peu coûteuses. Le bois omniprésent donnait une impression vieillotte particulièrement dans le salon avec ses lambris roux. Comme souvent c'est la mise en peinture des murs qui a donné immédiatement une allure moderne à ce type d'intérieur. Dans le salon, c'est un vert profond qui a été appliqué sur les murs pendant cette mini rénovation.
