Photo : Javier Picerno

House with a colourful terrace for a photographer who loves the city

After living for a long time in a beautiful flat with a terrace and a fireplace on the top floor of a city centre building, photographer José Pereyra Lucena found himself obliged to leave it after it was sold. And since he didn't want to live in a normal flat after living in it, when a friend offered to rent this house in the town of San Antonio de Areco in Argentina, he saw the opportunity to have a garden, and a large space to hang his photos. The house and its colourful terrace was an ideal place for a creative person like him, and his change of life, even if it was not desired, is now positive.

One of the points that particularly caught his attention was the presence of a rail system, like in museums, to install works of art on the walls without having to perforate them. It was really a sign to him that this house and its colourful terrace could become both his home and a perfect place to exhibit his work. The large, lush garden convinced him that this was the house where he could feel at home. Once furnished and decorated in a vintage and personal style, he made it his home for many years and no longer misses his beautiful city centre flat. Photo : Javier Picerno
