Cette maison ancienne près de Barcelone, a été remise au goût du jour avec une décoration contemporaine par les architectes d’intérieurs Sandra Gibert et Toya Trias de Bes. Elles en ont fait un véritable havre de paix, où la pierre et le naturel tiennent la vedette, à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur. Ouverte sur le jardin, elle profite de son environnement verdoyant pour vous faire oublier que nous sommes en ville.
Elle ressemble à une maison de vacances, mais est habitée à l’année par un couple et ses trois enfants. L’immense mur de pierre traverse la maison, se prolonge sur la terrasse et efface les frontières entre l’intérieur et l’extérieur. Elle fait partie des nouveaux éléments apportés à cette maison ancienne près de Barcelone par les architectes, afin d’évoquer Minorque, cette île des Baléares où la famille passe ses vacances. Le mur a été monté soigneusement à la façon d’un puzzle, pierre après pierre, par des artisans spécialisés. An old house near Barcelona brought up to date
This old house near Barcelona has been updated with a contemporary decor by interior designers Sandra Gibert and Toya Trias de Bes. They have turned it into a real haven of peace, where stone and natural materials are the main features, both inside and out. It opens onto the garden and takes advantage of its green surroundings to make you forget that we are in the city.
It looks like a holiday home, but is inhabited all year round by a couple and their three children. The huge stone wall runs through the house, extending onto the terrace and blurring the boundaries between inside and outside. It is one of the new elements the architects added to this house near Barcelona to evoke Menorca, the Balearic island where the family spends their holidays. The wall was carefully put together like a jigsaw puzzle, stone by stone, by skilled craftsmen. The natural and contemporary decor is light enough not to overshadow this beautiful focal point.
