Le designer Charoonkit Thahong sait que la base d’un grand intérieur est une grande architecture. Il a donc passé des mois la recherche du parfait espace industriel brut à remodeler pour en faire sa propre maison. Ce loft dans un bâtiment d’école transformé a fait l’affaire: espace ouvert, parquets massifs et beaucoup de lumière naturelle. «C’était à peu près l’état brut que j’attendais ” dit Thahong «C’était vraiment vivable, mais ce n’était tout simplement pas mon goût.”
A Manhattan loft in a former school
Designer Charoonkit Thahong knows that the foundation for a great interior is great architecture. So he spent months searching for just the right raw, industrial space to remodel for his own home. This loft in a converted school building fit the bill: open space, hardwood floors and plenty of sunlight. “It was almost as raw as I expected,” Thahong says. “It was actually livable, but it just wasn’t my taste.”
