Pour les architectes Steven et Carol Whiting de Whiting Architects, le défi était de créer un équilibre entre ce bâtiment ancien en briques et l’agrandissement qu’ils projetaient pour cette maison de Melbourne destinée à leur famille. La surélévation en bois noir a été choisie comme meilleur choix possible pour ne pas dénaturer la grange d’origine.

For the architects Steven and Carol Whiting of Whiting Architects, the challenge was to create a balance between the old brick building and expansion they planned for this Melbourne home designed for their family. A black wood elevation was selected as best choice not to denature the original barn.
