Quand Marcus et Gareth ont trouvé leur maison il y a quatre ans, elle était presque abandonnée. “les deux premiers mois, nous ne pouvions même pas y entrer” explique Marcus. Curieusement, beaucoup d’ éléments d’origine avaient survécu et pratiquement chaque pièce dispose d’une grande et jolie cheminée.
A happy mix in Great Britain
When Marcus and Gareth found their house some four years ago, it was all but derelict. “For two months, we couldn’t even get in” says Marcus. Strangely, many other original features have survived and virtually every room features a grand or pretty fireplace.

Updating a traditional Provençal farmhouse
Patricia and her late husband John moved from East Sussex to an idyllic French farmhouse in Provence. The house is located in the Vars region of the South of France and was originally built in 1836. Patricia has restored the house and adjoined barn to create a wonderful home with eight acres of grounds, a terrace garden and vegetable patch, furnished with found and re-purposed items and antiques.
