Une maison noire en Australie pour une designer textile

La designer textile Tanya Cain-Abbs, créatrice de Old Grey House, et son mari Duncan, ont acheté un terrain au sud de Perth en Australie, et ont fait construire cette maison simple et raffinée à la façade en bois noir, pour leur vacances. Tanya est inspirée par le bush, les feuilles, les plumes, les pierres et les rochers environnants pour ses créations textiles, et les séjours dans la maison lui sont indispensables pour trouver de nouvelles idées. À l’intérieur, la maison est décorée dans une palette de couleurs naturelles, utilisant le  blanc, le noir, le bois et l’ ocre, inspirée par son environnement brut. Photo :  Marnie Hawson. Textile designer Tanya Cain-Abbs, creator of Old Grey House, and her husband Duncan, bought a piece of land south of Perth, Australia, and built this simple and refined house with a black wooden facade for their holiday. Tanya is inspired by the surrounding bush, leaves, feathers, stones and rocks for her textile creations, and stays in the house are essential for her to find new ideas. La décoration de cette maison australienne est inspirée par son environnement

C’est près de Byron Bay que cette maison australienne appelée The Range,  a été construite. Elle regarde vers son paysage de collines, et sa décoration s’inspire de son environnement naturel et magnifique. Les matériaux bruts, comme le bois usé, les carreaux de terre cuite nous évoquent immédiatement les maisons du sud de l’Europe, particulièrement de l’Andalousie en Espagne. Un cottage à la décoration couleur mer en Australie

Sarah et Emma, deux soeurs habitant en Australie, ont rénové un cottage près de la mer appelé My Sister & The Sea, une bâtisse en bois construite dans les années 1950, transporté depuis la Suède. Sa décoration reprend les teintes de la mer toute proche, couleur de sable, de vagues et d’écume, elle allie le bois et le lin, la douceur et le rugueux dans un bel esprit maritime qui n’en fait pas trop. Emma et Tom Lane, fondateurs de  The Farm Byron Bay, habitent avec leurs quatre enfants dans cette belle maison blanche, qui est un condensé de tout ce qu’ils aiment et où ils testent leurs produits. Elle est  contemporaine et à quelques pas de la plage principale de Byron Bay, et ils l’ont rénovée pendant  trois mois afin qu’elle corresponde exactement aux besoins de leur famille.
