Cette maison d’architecte ouverte sur la nature, qui se compose d’une bâtisse principale et d’une écurie, on pourrait croire qu’elle se situe au Texas. Mais la nature sauvage en Californie que ses larges surfaces vitrées mettent en valeur. Conçue par Field Architecture, Pinon Ranch est l’endroit idéal pour une famille de musiciens et leurs chevaux. La volonté de préserver la beauté naturelle du site a été au centre du projet, et la présence d’une chênaie ancienne à ne pas dénaturer était un défi pour l’architecte qui l’a relevé avec talent. This architect’s house opens onto the wild nature of California
This architect’s house, which is open to nature and consists of a main building and a stable, you would think it was located in Texas. But it is the wild nature of California that is highlighted by its large glass surfaces. Designed by Field Architecture, Pinon Ranch is the ideal place for a family of musicians and their horses. The desire to preserve the natural beauty of the site was at the heart of the project, and the presence of an ancient oak grove that should not be denatured was a challenge for the architect who masterminded it with talent. He built the concrete foundations from the ranch to the root line of the trees but without disturbing them in any way. Photo: Matthew Millman
