On installe une cloison origami pour séparer la cuisine du salon

Marre des verrières toutes pareilles? Mais envie de créer une séparation légère entre le salon et la cuisine? Alors on installe une cloison origami pour séparer cette dernière du salon et de la salle à manger avec originalité. La verrière nous l’avons beaucoup vue, et si elle a toujours ses adeptes, elle sait évoluer. On la choisit désormais en blanc, en couleur métal, ou bien encore façon verrière bois, pour un esprit moins industriel.

Mais si on aime le style loft sans vouloir tomber dans le trop souvent vu, la cloison origami de chez Leroy Merlin est un choix à retenir, et elle est amovible si on souhaite la mettre un jour dans une autre pièce (pour séparer une entrée d’un salon par exemple). On aimerait juste qu’elle existe également en blanc pour plus de légèreté dans tous les styles décoratifs. Dans cette ambiance, elle s’intègre parfaitement, apportant un élément graphique, séparant tout en laissant voyager le regard, cachant un peu sans en faire trop. L’atmosphère est sombre il est vrai, mais elle a une grande personnalité. On aime ou on déteste au premier regard. Qu’en pensez-vous? On installe une cloison origami ou non?

Tired of all the same glass partitions? But want to create a light separation between the living room and the kitchen? So we install an origami screen to separate the kitchen from the living room and the dining room with originality. We’ve seen a lot of glass partitions, and although they still have their fans, they’ve evolved. We now choose it in white, in metal colour, or even in a wooden style partition, for a less industrial spirit.

But if you like the loft style without wanting to fall into the too often seen, the origami screen from Leroy Merlin is a choice to keep in mind, and it is removable if you want to put it in another room one day (to separate an entrance from a living room for example). We just wish it was also available in white for more lightness in all decor styles. In this environment, it fits perfectly, bringing a graphic element, separating while letting the eye travel, hiding a little without doing too much. The atmosphere is dark, it is true, but it has a great personality. You either love it or hate it at first sight. What do you think? Should we install an origami screen or not?

Un appartement de 54m2 avec une chambre verrière avec vue sur une marina

Les appartement situés dans les immeubles modernes manquent souvent de charme. Bien entendu, ils sont parfaitement pensés et optimisés, mais ne possèdent pas ce petit plus qui les rend irrésistibles. C’est pourquoi les propriétaires de cet appartement de 54m2 avec une chambre, un beau deux-pièces, ont choisi d’ôter une partie de la cloison entre cette chambre et le salon pour installer une verrière. La décoration scandinave est classique, et c’est vraiment cette cloison qui donne son intérêt à cet appartement, ainsi que lorsque la nuit tombe, les lumières qui changent totalement son atmosphère.

Les Suédois qui doivent subir de longs hivers avec des journées très courtes, ont comme tradition d’allumer chez eux les lumières dans toutes les pièces afin de rendre leur environnement plus chaleureux durant les heures obscures comme ici. Ils laissent ouverts les volets et rideaux pour profiter de la magie de la nuit illuminée par les fenêtres des maisons et des appartements pour lutter contre la dépression saisonnière. L’autre point fort de cet appartement de 54m2 avec une chambre verrière est sans aucun doute son balcon, et sa proximité ainsi que sa vue sur une marina. Ce type d’emplacement procure une impression de vivre dans une ville de vacances à l’année, même si ici, nous nous trouvons dans la grande ville de Malmö en Suède, et que c’est un lieu qui vit à l’année.

Flats in modern buildings often lack charm. Of course, they are perfectly designed and optimised, but they lack that little extra that makes them irresistible. That’s why the owners of this 54m2 one-bedroom flat chose to remove part of the partition between the bedroom and the living room to install a glazed wall. The Scandinavian decor is classic, and it is really this partition that gives the flat its interest, as well as the lights at night, which totally change its atmosphere.

Swedes, who have to endure long winters with very short days, have a tradition of turning on the lights in all the rooms to make their environment warmer during the dark hours like here. They leave the shutters and curtains open to enjoy the magic of the night illuminated by the windows of the houses and flats to fight against seasonal depression. The other strong point of this 54m2 flat is undoubtedly its balcony, and its proximity and view of a marina. This type of location gives the impression of living in a holiday town all year round, even though here we are in the big city of Malmö in Sweden, and it is a year-round place.

Cet appartement lumineux à Barcelone était sombre et triste

Ce sont les designers d’intérieur de I Loft You qui ont réalisé la rénovation de cet appartement lumineux à Barcelone, autrefois compartimenté, sombre et triste. Le budget des propriétaires étant limité, les transformations ont surtout consisté à abattre des cloisons, monter une verrière blanche entre le salon et la cuisine, changer les sols et tout peindre en blanc, pour que la lumière devienne omniprésente dans l’appartement. Les investissements autres, comme le mobilier, ont été limités au maximum sur cette belle base, reprenant en majorité ce qui appartenait déjà aux habitants.

L’élément majeur qui a représenté le plus grand effort financier est sans aucun doute la verrière, mais c’est une chose à laquelle ils tenaient particulièrement. Elle est toutefois blanche pour conserver une légèreté que le noir industriel n’aurait pas permis et qui n’aurait pas été à sa place dans cette décoration aux tons naturels, alternant les couleurs claires et le bois. Elle permet aussi depuis l’entrée, d’avoir une vue directe sur le salon, et d’augmenter la sensation d’espace. This bright Barcelona flat was dark and dreary

The interior designers from I Loft You renovated this bright flat in Barcelona, which was previously compartmentalised, dark and dull. As the owners’ budget was limited, the transformations consisted mainly of knocking down partitions, putting up a white glazed partition between the living room and the kitchen, changing the floors and painting everything white, so that the light becomes omnipresent in the flat. Other investments, such as furniture, were kept to a minimum on this beautiful base, taking over most of what the inhabitants already owned.

The major element that represented the greatest financial effort was undoubtedly the glazed partition, but this was something they were particularly keen on. It is white, however, to maintain a lightness that industrial black would not have allowed and which would have been out of place in this decor with its natural tones, alternating light colours and wood. It also allows a direct view of the living room from the entrance, increasing the feeling of space. This bright flat in Barcelona with its neutral colours has a successful soothing atmosphere. Une verrière dans la cuisine pour un appartement moderne rénové

Cet appartement de 100m2 en Espagne avait besoin d’être rénové et nécessitait également un supplément de lumière. C’est une verrière dans la cuisine qui a permis de faire entrer cette dernière, même si la pièce possédait déjà une fenêtre. Le studio de design intérieur Quefalamaria s’est chargé de cette rénovation et a rendu cet appartement très chaleureux et accueillant pour la famille avec enfants des propriétaires.

La verrière dans la cuisine permet à cet espace d’être moins isolé de la vie familiale, et lui apporte beaucoup d’élégance. Un mur a été également déplacé entre l’entrée et cette pièce, et  les professionnels chargés de la rénovation ont conçu et fabriqué un meuble sur mesure pour ranger les manteaux, et ont installé un banc avec un tiroir pour les chaussures. La décoration de l’appartement a été refaite dans des tons sobres et chauds, au look intemporel et lumineux. La terrasse qui peut accueillir six personnes est le plus indéniable de cet appartement familial réussi.

This 100m2 flat in Spain was in need of renovation and also needed extra light. A glass partition in the kitchen allowed the light to enter, even though the room already had a window. The interior design studio Quefalamaria carried out the renovation and made the flat very warm and welcoming for the owners’ family with children.

The glass partition in the kitchen makes this space less isolated from family life, and gives it a lot of elegance. A wall was also moved between the entrance and this room, and the renovation professionals designed and built a custom-made cabinet for storing coats, installed a bench with a drawer for shoes. The flat was redecorated in warm, sober tones, with a timeless and bright look. The terrace, which can accommodate six people, is the undeniable plus of this successful family flat.

Un appartement de 71m2 avec une chambre verrière et une décoration verte

Cet appartement de 71m2 en Suède présente un plan atypique, avec une chambre verrière donnant directement sur le salon. Celle-ci possédant une fenêtre, il aurait été simple de monter une cloison pleine pour la fermer, sans perdre en luminosité. Toutefois, l’impression d’espace dans le salon aurait été moindre, et l’ajout de cette séparation vitrée est un élément architectural intéressant, même si on a tendance à préférer désormais les verrières blanches ou en bois pour éviter un aspect un peu trop loft industriel quand cela ne se justifie pas.

La couleur verte dans cet appartement de 71m2 est un fil conducteur que l’on retrouve non seulement dans le papier-peint célèbre de William Morris, mais également dans la cuisine. On l’associe comme souvent avec le noir pour un contraste réussi, dans la cuisine, dans la chambre, mais aussi dans l’entrée, où des cadres photos animent les murs. L’ensemble a un design simple, mais l’élégance est un leitmotiv dans cet appartement situé dans un immeuble ancien à Stockholm.

This 71m2 flat in Sweden has an atypical floor plan, with a glass partitioned bedroom opening directly onto the living room. As the bedroom has a window, it would have been easy to put up a solid partition to close it off without losing light. However, the impression of space in the living room would have been less, and the addition of this glass partition is an interesting architectural element, even if we now tend to prefer white or wooden partitions to avoid an industrial loft look when it is not justified.

The colour green in this 71m2 flat is a thread that runs through not only the famous William Morris wallpaper, but also the kitchen. As is often the case, it is combined with black for a successful contrast, in the kitchen, in the bedroom, but also in the entrance hall, where photo frames enliven the walls. The whole design is simple, but elegance is a leitmotiv in this flat located in an old building in Stockholm.
