En entrant dans cet appartement atypique situé dans l’ancien moulin aux épices de Strasbourg, construit il a 500 ans, on est frappé par l’opulence de la décoration, faite de couleurs et de matières. Le parquet ancien marié aux portes patinées et antiques indonésiennes, sa position et sa vue sur la rivière, tout ici est exceptionnel. Les poutres qui ornent le plafond lui donnent son allure chaleureuse, parfois difficile à obtenir dans un espace tel que celui-ci, totalement ouvert.

Une fresque signée par une artiste alsacienne est un point focal du salon, mais il y a tant à découvrir dans cette propriété, qu’on ne sait où poser les yeux. La pierre et le cuivre ont également leur mot à dire dans cette décoration qui est tout sauf banale. La vue sur l’eau est sans doute également un des points forts de cet appartement atypique, encore plus accessible depuis la terrasse qui jouxte une des chambres,  au dessus de la rivière, à proximité de la chute d’eau. As you enter this atypical flat located in the old spice mill of Strasbourg, built 500 years ago, you are struck by the opulence of the decoration, made of colours and materials. The antique parquet floor combined with the patinated and antique Indonesian doors, its position and its view on the river, everything here is exceptional. The beams that adorn the ceiling give it its warm look, sometimes difficult to obtain in a space such as this one, totally open.

A fresco by an Alsace artist is a focal point of the living room, but there is so much to discover in this property, you don’t know where to lay your eyes. Décoration contemporaine dans un appartement ancien à Barcelone

Les éléments d’origine de cet appartement ancien rénové situé dans un immeuble construit en 1808 à Barcelone ont été soigneusement conservés tout en lui donnant une allure contemporaine. Les vieilles briques, les poutres sur le plafond voûté typiquement catalan,  et le parquet à chevrons apportent un style authentique et chaleureux à ce lieu lumineux, dont le plan atypique et un peu biscornu a été parfaitement exploité.

Il s’articule en deux zones, une de jour, une de nuit, où la cuisine design noire sert de pivot. Et même si cette dernière n’est éclairée que par une petite fenêtre, grâce à sa superficie, elle est toutefois très agréable et lumineuse. On trouve tout ce que l’on aime dans les appartements actuels : deux salles de bain, de grands rangements, et des volumes bien exploités. On y ajoute le charme typique d’un appartement ancien, qui a su ici se renouveler grâce à la bonne exploitation de sa surface et du mélange de deux époques.

The original elements of this old flat in a building built in 1808 in Barcelona have been carefully preserved while giving it a contemporary look. The old bricks, the beams on the typically Catalan vaulted ceiling, and the herringbone parquet floor bring an authentic and warm style to this bright place, whose atypical and slightly unconventional layout has been perfectly exploited.

It is divided into two zones, one for the day and one for the night, where the black design kitchen acts as a hub. And even if the latter is only lit by a small window, thanks to its surface area, it is nevertheless very pleasant and bright. Everything we love about today’s flats is here: two bathrooms, plenty of storage space, and well organised space. We add the typical charm of an old flat, which has been renewed here thanks to the good exploitation of its floor space and the mixture of two eras.

La rénovation de cet appartement a respecté ses éléments d’origine

La rénovation de cet appartement situé à Barcelone, par la designer Asun Antó, de Coton et Bois, avait pour but de le moderniser tout en respectant ses éléments d’origine, les fenêtres, les moulures et les portes ainsi que la structure originale de presque tous les espaces. Un appartement de 58m2 rénové à petit budget à Saint-Pétersbourg

Destiné à la location, cet appartement de 58m2 situé dans un immeuble du 19e siècle à Saint-Pétersbourg devait être rénové avec un petit budget. Le studio de design et d’architecture intérieure  INT2 a pris en charge le projet, apportant des solutions économiques. Par exemple, les murs et le sol n’ont pas été nivelés et recouverts seulement d’une fine couche d’enduit sous la peinture des murs, et d’une peinture pour béton pour la chape du sol, sans autre finition. La décoration simple laisse la vedette aux volumes anciens mixés avec un esprit industriel sans excès.

58m2 renovated low budget flat in Saint Petersburg
Intended for rent, this 58m2 flat in a 19th century building in St Petersburg needed to be renovated on a small budget. The design and interior architecture studio INT2 took charge of the project, providing economical solutions. For example, the walls and floor were not levelled and covered only with a thin coat of plaster under the wall paint and concrete paint for the floor screed, without any other finishing touches. The simple decoration leaves the spotlight on the old volumes mixed with an industrial spirit without excess.

La rénovation d’un typique appartement haussmannien à Paris

Its current decoration is made of velvet, wickerwork, successfully mixed with the original elements.
