Dans un quartier calme et central, et un immeuble construit en 1930 dessiné par l’architecte Theodor Kjellgren, ce studio dont on a isolé la zone chambre dans un coin éclairé en second jour, a conservé ses éléments d’origine, appuis de fenêtres, radiateurs en fonte et les portes anciennes.

A bedroom in the corner
In a quiet, central area and a building constructed in 1930 designed by architect Theodor Kjellgren, this studio whose bedroom area was isolated in a borrowed light corner, has retained its original features, window sills, cast iron radiators and old doors.

Lorsqu’on vit dans un studio, surtout s’il est grand, on a toujours la tentation de vouloir y créer une vraie chambre, même si elle est en second jour. Ce qui a été fait ici de façon particulièrement esthétique, grâce à la création d’une boîte grise, et à sa grande fenêtre de style industriel qui empêche la sensation d’étouffement.

Sleeping in a gray box
When you live in a studio, especially if it is large, you always have the temptation to want to create a real bedroom, even if it is a borrowed light one. What has been done here in a very aesthetic way, through the creation of a gray box, and its great industrial-style window that prevents feeling of suffocation.

Dans cet appartement, un grand studio avec coin nuit séparé en second jour, la décoration est ramenée à sa plus simple expression, hormis dans la cuisine qui est le point focal de la pièce principale. Bien aménagée, dotée d’une large table de bois brut, c’est l’endroit parfait pour organiser des fêtes entre amis.

In this apartment, a big studio with a separate borrowed lights bedroom , the decoration is reduced to its simplest expression, except in the kitchen which is the main room focal point. Well appointed, with a large raw wooden table, this is the perfect place for parties with friends.

Créer une une chambre en second jour

C’est une configuration que l’on retrouve souvent dans les appartements suédois, particulièrement lorsqu’il s’agit de petites surfaces, je parle bien sûr de la chambre en second jour. C’est une chambre sans fenêtre dont la lumière diurne provient de la pièce qui lui est adjacente, le salon en général, parfois la cuisine. Ici encore un bel exemple d’un grand studio de 48m² transformé en deux pièces par l’ajout d’une cloison pour créer une chambre indépendante.

This is a configuration that is often found in Swedish apartments, especially in the case of small areas, I speak of course of the borrowed lights bedroom . Priorité à la cuisine

Bien que cet appartement ne fasse que 50m², la cuisine est immense, et digne des plus grands appartements. On aime sa couleur grise, les poignées en cuir des meubles, le carrelage jointé de noir qui monte jusqu’au plafond, les lampes pendantes et les chaises différentes autour de la table qui pourtant s’accordent si bien. Bref on aime tout.

Priority to the kitchen
Even if this apartment is only 50m², the kitchen is huge and worthy of the larger apartments. We love the gray, leather furniture handles, black jointed tiles that rises to the ceiling, the pendant lamps and the mixed chairs around the table which nevertheless agree so well. In short we love everything.
