Cet appartement traversant de 50m2 est aménagé de façon originale, avec de part et d’autre de l’entrée, les différentes zones bien séparées. L’originalité vient en particulier de la position de la cuisine, installée sous les fenêtres, dans un angle du salon. Situé dans un immeuble des années 1930 à Göteborg en Suède, cet appartement avait autrefois une cuisine séparée qui a été transformée en chambre. Une seconde pièce petite, une ancienne arrière cuisine est désormais un bureau, dans ce que nous voisins scandinaves appellent en 2 et demi.

Il a conservé son magnifique parquet ancien et ses lambris d’origine. Ces derniers ont été soigneusement repeints en gris doux, une teinte parfaite pour les mettre en valeur et qui sert de toile de fond neutre à une décoration sobre et vintage. Le salon est disposé côté cuisine, afin de recevoir un maximum de lumière provenant des fenêtres, et la salle à manger un peu plus éloignée de celle-ci, ce qui ne gêne en rien la circulation. C’est un appartement bien pensé, même si son aménagement est original, et la surface en est particulièrement bien exploitée.

50m2 flat with an original layout

This 50m2 flat has an original layout, with the different areas well separated on either side of the entrance hall. The originality comes in particular from the position of the kitchen, installed under the windows in a corner of the living room. Located in a 1930s building in Gothenburg, Sweden, this flat once had a separate kitchen, which has now been converted into a bedroom. A second small room, a former pantry, is now an office, in what our Scandinavian neighbours call a 2 and a half.

It has retained its magnificent old parquet flooring and original panelling. These have been carefully repainted in a soft grey, a perfect shade to show them off and which serves as a neutral backdrop to the sober, vintage decor. The living room is positioned on the kitchen side, so that it receives maximum light from the windows, and the dining room a little further away from the kitchen, so that it doesn’t impede the flow of traffic. This is a well-thought-out flat, even if its layout is original, and the surface area is particularly well utilised.

Une maison préfabriquée près de Madrid sur un terrain escarpé

Cette maison préfabriquée près de Madrid est issue du travail du studio delaVegaCanolasso qui a associé architecture modulaire et respect de l’environnement naturel. Les professionnels du studio ont depuis longtemps une démarche écoresponsable et durable. Ils l’ont déjà exprimé avec leur projet Tiny Living. Dans la maison que nous découvrons aujourd’hui, ils ont mélangé des modules tini® entièrement fabriqués en atelier avec des murs en briques artisanales blanchies à la chaux.

La maison préfabriquée près de Madrid se trouve sur un terrain escarpé, planté de pins et de chênes verts. La structure a été posée en porte-à-faux grâce à des haubans ancrés dans le sol. Le terrain est ainsi préservé au maximum comme à son origine. Chaque chambre avec sa salle de bain correspond à un module tini®. Un studio indépendant a été construit sur le terrain. Prefabricated house near Madrid on a steep site

This prefabricated house near Madrid is the work of the delaVegaCanolasso studio, which has combined modular architecture with respect for the natural environment. The studio’s professionals have long had an eco-responsible and sustainable approach. They have already expressed this with their Tiny Living project. In the house we are discovering today, they have mixed tini® modules manufactured entirely in the workshop with walls made of traditional whitewashed bricks.

The prefabricated house near Madrid stands on a steep plot of land planted with pine and holm oak trees. The structure was cantilevered using guy wires anchored in the ground. In this way, the land is preserved as much as possible, just as it was in its original state. Each bedroom and bathroom corresponds to a tini® module. Un loft brut en duplex de 73m2 aux beaux volumes avec terrasse

Ce loft brut en duplex de 73m2 est situé dans une région suédoise qui a longtemps été industrielle. Il en a conservé l’âme, avec son aménagement et sa décoration basés sur l’utilisation du béton, de métal, et ses beaux volumes. Une peinture murale de style street art a été réalisée par un artiste local et apporte de la couleur dans cet intérieur qui décline le gris et le noir. Les meubles orange vif apportent également de la gaité et du dynamisme à cet intérieur. Le salon va de pair avec la cuisine et constitue véritablement le cœur de la maison.

Un escalier en colimaçon en acier noir nous conduit à l’étage supérieur de l’appartement, où se trouve la grande et unique chambre, car si cet appartement a une surface relativement vaste, il n’est qu’un simple deux-pièces. Traitée comme une suite hôtelière, elle donne accès au toit-terrasse d’environ 21 mètres carrés avec une pergola et de l’espace pour une table à manger et des meubles de salon. Pendant l’été, le dîner est bien sûr pris sur la magnifique terrasse du toit de ce loft brut en duplex de 73m2, l’endroit idéal pour inviter des amis à la maison avec sa vue sur la rivière incroyablement belle.

This 73m2 duplex loft is located in a region of Sweden that was once industrial. It has retained its soul, with its layout and decor based on the use of concrete and metal, and its beautiful volumes. A street art-style mural painted by a local artist brings colour to this grey and black interior. The bright orange furniture also adds brightness and dynamism to the interior. The living room goes hand in hand with the kitchen and is truly the heart of the house.

A spiral staircase in black steel takes us to the top floor of the flat, where the one and only bedroom is located, because although this flat has a relatively large surface area, it is a simple one-bedroom. Treated as a hotel suite, it has access to a roof terrace of around 21 square metres with a pergola and space for a dining table and lounge furniture. During the summer, dinner is of course taken on the magnificent roof terrace of this 73m2 raw loft duplex, the perfect place to invite friends home with its incredibly beautiful river views.

Une maison surplombant un estuaire dans la nature des Cornouailles

Cette maison surplombant un estuaire, celui de Camel, dans les Cornouailles, bénéficie d’un emplacement enviable avec ses vues à 180° sur toute la région depuis l’intérieur et ses terrasses. Waterhouse, la bien nommée, a reçue de nombreux prix d’architecture, le Cornish Buildings Award, le Best New Build in Cornwall 2020 et du Green Apple Award. Sa conception fait appel à un mélange de briques, de bois naturel et de bois noirci.

La majeure partie de l’espace de vie est orientée vers le sud, et est largement vitrée, baignant Waterhouse d’une lumière naturelle toujours changeante. Sa décoration est contemporaine, chaleureuse, et pas trop minimaliste, une caractéristique que l’on peut parfois reprocher à ce type de maison contemporaine. Ici, les matériaux et la couleur font le show sans en faire trop, c’est un intérieur qui fusionne avec l’extérieur, une véritable maison de famille avec ses quatre chambres et son grand espace de vie, un endroit parfait pour les amoureux des grands espaces sauvages encore sauvegardés du nord des Cornouailles.

This house overlooking the Camel estuary in Cornwall enjoys an enviable location, with 180° views over the entire region from its interior and terraces. The aptly named Waterhouse has won numerous architectural awards, including the Cornish Buildings Award, Best New Build in Cornwall 2020 and the Green Apple Award. Its design uses a mix of brick, natural wood and blackened wood.

The majority of the living space is south-facing, and is largely glazed, bathing Waterhouse in ever-changing natural light. The decor is contemporary, warm and not too minimalist, a characteristic that can sometimes be criticised in this type of contemporary house. Here, the materials and colours make the show without overdoing it; it’s an interior that merges with the outside, a real family home with its four bedrooms and large living space, a perfect home for lovers of the great unspoilt wild spaces of North Cornwall.

Un appartement de 75m2 vraiment familial pensé par une architecte

Cet appartement de 75m2 vraiment familial présente trois chambres malgré sa surface plutôt réduite. Il a été entièrement revu par l’architecte d’intérieur Majo Flores, qui a relevé le défi de lui donner l’allure d’un espace plus vaste que ce qui est annoncé sur le plan. Les propriétaires souhaitaient un salon spacieux et un espace de jeu et d’étude dans les chambres des enfants.
L’appartement désormais confortable dispose d’une terrasse, d’un salon, d’une salle à manger, de trois chambres, de deux salles de bains et même d’un dressing dans sa surface moyenne.

C’est à Valence, en Espagne que cet appartement neuf a été entièrement repensé juste après sa livraison. Il était intégralement vide, et le préalable était de ne pas faire tomber de cloisons. L’architecte d’intérieur est donc partie de ce plan pré-établi pour distribuer les espaces en plaçant le salon côté fenêtre et la salle à manger près de la cuisine. Elle a opté pour des meubles au design léger afin qu’ils ne prennent pas de place, mais suffisants pour répondre aux besoins des habitants. Cet appartement de 75m2 vraiment familial respire bien qu’il n’ait pas été possible de pousser les murs, grâce au choix judicieux de l’architecte pour les couleurs et le mobilier. 75m2 flat with a real family feel, designed by an architect

This truly family-friendly 75m2 flat has three bedrooms despite its rather small size. It has been completely redesigned by interior architect Majo Flores, who took on the challenge of giving it the look of a larger space than advertised on the plan. The owners wanted a spacious living room and a play and study area in the children’s bedrooms.
The comfortable flat now has a terrace, a living room, a dining room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and even a dressing room in its average size.

This new flat in Valencia, Spain, was completely redesigned immediately after delivery. It was completely empty, and the prerequisite was not to knock down any partitions. The interior architect used this pre-established plan to distribute the spaces, placing the living room next to the window and the dining room next to the kitchen. She opted for furniture with a light design that wouldn’t take up too much space, but was still sufficient to meet the needs of the occupants. This truly family-friendly 75m2 flat breathes even though it was not possible to push out the walls, thanks to the architect’s judicious choice of colours and furniture. Photo: Felipe Scheffel.
