Un escalier central à permis de relier deux appartement en duplex

Les propriétaires de deux duplex adjacents à Londres situés dans une maison victorienne se trouvaient face à un problème important pour réunir les deux appartements et en faire un seul. Ils ont confié cette tâche à l’agence XUL Architecture, qui a déplacé les escaliers existants dans chaque duplex, pour en créer un central desservant toutes les pièces. Malgré la présence d’une cheminée qui ne devait pas être modifiée, le projet a été réalisé avec succès.

Central staircase to connect two duplex flats
The owners of two adjoining duplexes in a Victorian house in London were faced with a major problem in combining the two flats into one. They entrusted this task to the agency XUL Architecture, who moved the existing staircases in each duplex to create a central one serving all the rooms. Despite the presence of a fireplace that did not need to be modified, the project was successfully completed.

La rénovation d’un appartement avec patio à Londres

Les élégantes fenêtres Crittal et l’escalier lui conservent son allure industrielle d’origine. Sa décoration pleine de charme rend l’ensemble très chaleureux malgré ses immenses volumes.

La transformation d’un sublime immeuble de l’époque édouardienne à Londres, l’immeuble des Beaux-Arts, a permis de créer des appartements aux importants volumes. Celui-ci, un appartement en duplex, bien que situé dans cette bâtisse ancienne, possède tous les attributs de la modernité : décoration design, mezzanine vitrée qui dessert les chambres, cuisine équipée avec du matériel haut de gamme, et salles de bain contemporaines.

Cuisine ouverte et jardin privatif pour un appartement au style contemporain

L’extérieur de ce bâtiment du sud de Londres ne laisse pas deviner ce que l’on va trouver à l’intérieur : un appartement de trois-pièces à la décoration naturelle, à la cuisine ouverte et bénéficiant d’un jardin, qui exhale un charme bucolique. S’il n’est pas très grand avec ses 67m², il semble très confortable tout de même grâce à une parfaite exploitation du plan (à regarder ici), et à l’utilisation d’une gamme chromatique sobre, qui utilise le blanc et le vert. Le bois vient compléter le tableau de ce petit appartement citadin à l’environnement verdoyant présenté par The Modern House.
