La rénovation réussie en matériaux recyclés d’une ancienne ferme

Claudia , une blogueuse allemande, et son mari Bernd ont trouvé leur maison, une ancienne ferme du 18ème siècle en feuilletant un journal il y a 19 ans de cela. Peu à peu, ils ont rénové les 140 m² de la maison (de ses fondations jusqu’au toit en chaume) en n’utilisant presque exclusivement des matériaux recyclés. Une maison et sa terrasse ouvertes à la lumière

Cette maison espagnole ancienne ne manquait pas de beauté, mais la lumière faisait cruellement défaut. Grâce au travail de Daniel Lizarritury, et à l’ouverture de nouvelles fenêtres respectant le style de sa façade, l’utilisation de litres de peinture blanche à l’intérieur, et la création d’une terrasse, elle est devenue la maison de rêve de ses propriétaires.

House and its terrace open to the light
This old Spanish house did not lack beauty, but the light was sorely missing. Thanks to the work of Daniel Lizarritury, and the opening of new windows respecting the style of its facade, the use of liters of white paint on the interior, and the creation of a terrace, it has become the dream home of its owners.

Dans cette maison les murs ne vont pas jusqu’en haut !

C’est dans le parc national de Dartmoor dans le Devon, cette maison de granit, une ancienne remise à carrioles, a été restaurée en conservant son allure d’origine et ses poutres. A l’intérieur, on a choisi une solution originale pour que la lumière naturelle circule librement dans tous les espaces,  même lorsqu’il n’y a pas de fenêtre. Les murs intérieurs ne vont pas jusqu’au plafond voûté de ce bâtiment classé, et seul le toit en partie  vitré  est un ajout contemporain sur la façade d’origine, à l’arrière du bâtiment, alors que l’avant présente un aspect inchangé.

In this house the walls don’t go to the top!
Located in Dartmoor National Park in Devon, this granite house, a former coach house, has been restored to its original appearance and beams. Inside, an original solution was chosen to ensure that natural light circulates freely in all spaces, even when there is no window. The interior walls do not extend to the vaulted ceiling of this listed building, and only the partially glazed roof is a contemporary addition to the original facade at the rear of the building, while the front has an unchanged appearance.
