Ses propriétaires, des Australiens ont décidé de le décorer dans un style éclectique, avec de nombreux apports d’objets provenant de leurs voyages. C’est un style personnel et chaleureux pour cet appartement lumineux, dont le patio est l’un des points forts. L’appartement ne ressemblait pas à ce que nous découvrons, lorsqu’ils en ont fait l’acquisition.
Il a été entièrement rénové, car il avait été largement transformé auparavant et ne correspondait pas à leurs envies. Le nouvel agencement plus ouvert et moins compartimenté de cet appartement espagnol avec patio, permet de capter la lumière naturelle et d’agrandir visuellement les espaces intérieurs. C’est désormais une simple boîte, aux sols en béton poli et aux murs blancs dans lesquels des éléments d’origine tels que les poutres et le plafond voûté sont laissés apparents, et mélange cosmopolite à l’atmosphère unique. Spanish flat with patio in a historical area
This Spanish flat with patio is located on the ground floor in the historic Gothic quarter of Barcelona. Its owners, Australians, decided to decorate it in an eclectic style, with many contributions of objects from their travels. It is a personal and warm style for this bright flat, of which the patio is one of the highlights. The flat did not look like it did when they bought it.
It was completely renovated, as it had been extensively remodeled before and did not match their desires. The new, more open and less compartmentalized layout of this Spanish flat with a patio, allows natural light to flow in and visually expands the interior spaces. It is now a simple box, with polished concrete floors and white walls in which original features such as the beams and vaulted ceiling are left exposed, and a cosmopolitan mix with a unique atmosphere.
