Ce petit appartement de 34m2 est situé dans le centre de Madrid, dans un bâtiment du début du 20ème siècle, et appartient à une jeune parisienne qui désirait qu’il reflète son goût pour la couleur, le vintage, l’upcycling et la cuisine. C’est l’équipe de Hypa&Cie  qui a su exploiter au mieux la faible superficie tout en apportant répondant aux demandes de leur cliente, en particulier en installant un papier-peint qui apporte la nature à l’intérieur de l’appartement. Les briques anciennes se marient parfaitement à cet esprit contemporain, lui donnant un supplément de charme. Une totale réussite n’est-ce pas? This small 34m2 flat is located in the centre of Madrid, in an early 20th century building, and belongs to a young Parisian woman who wanted it to reflect her taste for colour, vintage, upcycling and cooking. The Hypa&Cie team knew how to make the best use of the small surface area while at the same time meeting the demands of their client, especially by installing wallpaper that brings nature into the interior of the flat. Créer une chambre supplémentaire dans son appartement est la solution idéale pour ne pas avoir à déménager de chez soi lorsque la famille s’agrandit. La solution passe parfois par le changement de destination de la cuisine si la pièce est assez grande pour cela. C’est ce qui a été fait dans cet ancien studio qui avait la chance de posséder une cuisine séparée. La nouvelle cuisine est installée dans le salon, de façon originale, ce qui  a permis de libérer la place qu’elle occupait auparavant, et de créer une chambre dans son ancien emplacement. Ce qui fait son originalité n’est pas son intégration dans le salon, un aménagement somme toute assez classique de nos jours, mais bien la façon dont elle est conçue, avec du mobilier tête-bêche, formant un large îlot qui regroupe l’ensemble des tâches et équipements. Bien entendu, la nouvelle pièce créée, et surtout si elle est d’une petite superficie, pourra convenir à un bureau, un élément qui devient essentiel de nos jours pour le télétravail.

Creating an extra bedroom in your flat is the ideal solution so that you don’t have to move from home when the family grows. Sometimes the solution is to relocate the kitchen if the room is big enough. This is what was done in this former studio flat which was fortunate enough to have a separate kitchen. The new kitchen is installed in the living room, in an original way, freeing up the space it previously occupied, and creating a bedroom in its former location. What makes it original is not its integration in the living room, which is quite classical nowadays, but the way it is designed, with head to tail furniture, forming a large island that brings together all the tasks and equipment. Of course, the newly created room, especially if it is small in size, will be suitable for an office, something that is becoming essential nowadays for teleworking.

Cette mini maison design en bois de 20m2 est construite en moins de deux mois

Conçue par l’architecte australien Nicholas Gurney, cette mini maison en bois de 20m2 se construit sur un terrain dans un délai de 4 à 6 semaines, soit moins de deux mois. La Yardstix “Y20” est modulaire et fonctionnelle, construite en bois lamellé-croisé, et peut être agrandie avec des modules supplémentaires jusqu’à 60m² . Le lamellé-collé utilisé possède des qualités structurelles  supérieures à celles d’une maison ordinaire. Elle dispose d’un réservoir d’eau de pluie de 5000 litres ainsi que de panneaux solaires. Son prix commençait à partir de 75.000 $ australiens, c’est à dire environ 48.000 € en février 2021. Photo : Michael Wee

Designed by Australian architect Nicholas Gurney, this 20m2 mini design wooden house is built on a plot in 4 to 6 weeks, less than two months. The Yardstix “Y20” is modular and functional, built in cross-laminated timber, and can be extended with additional modules up to 60m² . The glulam used has structural qualities superior to those of a normal house. It has a 5000 litre rainwater tank as well as solar panels. Comment dissimuler son lit dans un studio, un exemple en photos

Le plus difficile lorsqu’on  vit dans un studio, est de conserver une certaine intimité lorsqu’on reçoit des personnes extérieures. La solution adoptée dans cet appartement suédois décoré avec un contraste de couleurs fait de blanc, de noir et de bleu intense, pour dissimuler ce lit a été d’installer un rideau qui ferme l’alcôve présente sur le plan initial, au moins lorsqu’on n’est pas seul à y être. Les invités passent alors par la cuisine, un lieu plus convivial et dans ce cas, joliment décoré, et peuvent se rendre au salon sans interférer dans ce qu’il y a de plus secret de la vie d’une personne : son lit. Le coin repos est devenu un sanctuaire, décoré avec soin, où un papier-peint sombre accentue le côté cocon.

The most difficult thing about living in a studio is to maintain a certain privacy when entertaining guests from the outside. The solution adopted in this Swedish flat, decorated with contrasting colours of white, black and intense blue, to hide the bed, was to install a curtain that closes the alcove present on the original plan, at least when you are not alone. Guests then pass through the kitchen, a more convivial and in this case nicely decorated place, and can go to the living room without interfering in the most secret part of a person’s life: his bed. The resting area has become a sanctuary, decorated with care, where a dark wallpaper accentuates the cocoon side.

Un appartement de 45m2 à l’esprit zen sous les toits

Bien qu’il ait une superficie de 45m2, cet appartement est seulement un studio avec une véritable cuisine sous les toits. Pensé comme un refuge zen, il adopte une décoration neutre fait de tons beiges et de textiles chaleureux.Dans la pièce principale, qui sert à la fois de salon et de chambre,  les fenêtres de toit apportent un supplément de luminosité et confort, mais de véritables fenêtres permettent tout de même au regard de s’échapper au loin.
